In this beautiful autumn, the 12thRussian Writing Competition of Foreign Language Festival was held successfully in Xi’an Jiaotong University.
This Russian Writing Competition was open to all the students in class 31 (English & Russian major) of School of Foreign Languages. A jury consisting of Director of Russian Department, Ye Lin, teacher of Russian Department, Liu Yanjing and a foreign teacher, Валетинаvote graded the papers according to the established scoring rubric in terms of the correctness of expression, grammar, spelling, handwriting, punctuation, as well as the fluency and elegancy. One First Prize, two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes and eight Honorable Prizes were selected, which will be awarded at the closing ceremony of the Foreign Language Festival.
The topic of this Russian Writing Competition was “My University Life”. The competition aimed at improving students’ expressive skills and writing abilities in Russian, encouraging more students to learn Russian and showing the wonderful life of the English & Russian major students. Participating in the competition actively, all the students in class 31 (English & Russian) submitted their final versions after one-week’s revision and polishing. The students commonly believed that this competition provides an excellent platform for them to show their achievements in Russian study and improve their learning enthusiasm and initiatives.
