Here you can find some useful information and most often asked questions from other students about studying and living in Bali. Nevertheless, don’t ever hesitate to contact us and ask questions puzzling your mind!

“How come can I find a nice place to stay during my studies here?”

The best areas for finding a appropriate accommodation are Seminyak, Sanur, Canggu, Umalas, Kerobokan, legian and Kuta. They are all close to the capital Denpasar (including University) and offers places from luxury villas to more affordable hotels. Many former exchange students have stayed in villas with own pools and cleaning services, but the main key is to gather a group if you want to stay in a nice villa. So hook up with your friends so we can find a nice villa for you! Alone it’s way too expensive but with your roommates you’re going to pay only 300-400€ monthly. Using the help of Bali360 (Farah.hadi@gmail.com)  we can find you and your friends the villa of your dream! It’s also very good to keep your eye on the local news papers, websites, restaurants and bulletin boards when looking for a place to stay.

“I don’t want to rent a motorbike because of the traffic over here, but how come am I going to make to the school every day?”

The only option to get to move around in Bali is not to rent a motorbike, so no worries. Gather a group of friends who don’t want to drive a motorbike either, and hire a transformation. Moving around using these big cars is very cheap and very easy. The other option is to use local taxi services which are not so expensive either, just always remember to drive with a miter or agree on the price before getting to the taxi.

“What kind of clothing should I wear when I go to school?”

The answer to this tricky question (at least for the girls) is actually very simple: use normal formal clothing. In University they officially don’t have school uniforms, but the question is a bit complex.  You surely can’t use shorts, short dresses or skirts, tight or otherwise too revealing clothes. And no flip-flops! Dress like in your own country when going at school. Shoulders should be covered and long trousers are the best option. Men also have to use long trousers and blouse. Black and fully enclosed shoes are required.
